Le 15 janvier 2024, la Géorgie est devenu le 45ème Etat autorisant la validation d'un brevet déposé à l'OEB. Cela signifie que tout déposant d'une demande de brevet EP, qui est délivré par l'OEB, peut en demander la validation en Géorgie, de la même manière qu'il peut en demander la validation en France, au Royaume-Uni en Allemagne et dans bien d'autres pays.

Les brevets validés en Géorgie auront les mêmes effets que les brevets nationaux géorgiens.
