I'm very pleased to have contributed a short piece to the January issue of the DSBA Journal about recent and upcoming changes to various notification requirements in the event of a data breach. Cybersecurity continues to be a critical issue, with new attacks occurring every day. It's imperative that both attorneys and their clients are aware of the obligations imposed when such a breach occurs. I wrote this in December, and so I didn't even think to consider the potential implications of all those hacked toothbrushes.
