The Tunisian Trademark Office has recently announced that there will be a radical increase in all IP related fees as of the beginning of next year.
The IP fees revisions shall cover all steps including filing, renewal, oppositions, publication, cancellation of trademarks as well as similar fees for design and patent applications.
The Tunisian Trademark Office is yet to declare the new tariff, however, as per unofficial information there will be a 100% increase in fees for trademarks, 30% for patents and 20% for designs.
The official Decree is expected to be published in the Official Gazette in the near future.
In light of the expected increase, we recommend clients to file planned applications in Tunisia as soon as possible to avoid paying the increased fees.
