Kyle Barrie

Kyle has joined our family law team. He holds a Marketing degree from Dalhousie University and completed his JD at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University in 2022. Kyle was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2023.

Alistair Chauhan

Alistair is an associate in our Halifax office, practicing employment and labour law. He was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2023. Alistair holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Dalhousie University and earned his law degree from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law.

James Downie

James practices corporate and insurance litigation as well as health law. He holds a Biology degree from Saint Mary’s University and completed his JD at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University. James was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2023.

Sterling Edmonds

Sterling is an associate with a general corporate and commercial practice, spanning mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing and securities, and corporate governance matters. Sterling attended Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and was called in the Nova Scotia bar in 2023.

Katie O’Keefe

Katie is an associate in our Halifax office practicing insurance and commercial litigation. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2023. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University and earned her JD from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law.

Daniel Irvine

Daniel completed his law degree at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2018 and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2019. He practices corporate and insurance litigation. Prior to joining Cox & Palmer, Dan worked in the public service in Ontario.

Maxwell McBride

Maxwell joined Cox & Palmer as a summer student and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen’s University and completed his JD at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. Presently, Maxwell is an associate in the Corporate group in our Halifax office.
