In Panama City, the digital technologies implemented by the governments of the region will be analyzed through the fifth Ministerial Meeting of Electronic Government of Latin America and the Caribbean and the 12th Annual Meeting of the Electronic Government Network of Latin America and the Caribbean ( GEALC) for November 15 and 16, 2018,

The event will bring together ministers, authorities and experts to discuss successes and errors of their administrations, trends and regional perspectives on digital issues and the application of emerging technologies to improve the services provided by the government to citizens in Latin American countries and The Caribbean.

Digital Government will be the main theme for this edition and will be attended by authorities from the OAS and the IDB, from twenty-three countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, and representatives from the Republic of Korea, Estonia, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Italy, countries collaborators of the regional Digital Agenda.

During the first day of the meeting, Panama will present the advances of the Panama 4.0 Digital Agenda, global aspects will be analyzed, such as the digital transformation of governments, as well as the elements that make possible government digitalization such as cybersecurity, digital identity , or the interoperability of information systems.
