On 21 June 2018, Linklaters together with Confindustria (the main association representing manufacturing and service companies in Italy) and AIGI (the Italian Association of In-House Counsels) presented the results of a survey on the status of antitrust compliance programmes in Italy. The speakers included our antitrust partner Lucio D'Amario, the director of legal affairs at Confindustria Antonio Matonti, the president of AIGI Raimondo Rinaldi, and the Head of Cabinet of the Italian Competition Authority Filippo Arena.

The survey follows the publication of Confindustria's Guidelines on antitrust compliance in April 2016 and offers a detailed snapshot of the status of antitrust compliance programmes in Italy. The survey, carried out on a no-name basis, shows a wide and variegated basket of respondents including big corporates and SMEs in a variety of industry sectors, and a somewhat differentiated approach to antitrust compliance programmes in Italy.
