There are four groups of bars for registration. Upon application, exemptions may be granted to these rules.

The following may not be registered as a company name:

a) certain official appointments

b) an expression, that may be understood as someone else's name or other similar bar

c) an expression that infringes someone else's exclusive right such as a copyright

d) an expression that is confusable with another protected company name, secondary name or trademark
