Generally a person coming to the Island for employment is taxable from the date of arrival on his worldwide income. In certain circumstances, a liability to Guernsey income tax may arise on funds remitted to Guernsey irrespective of where they were earned and it is particularly important therefore to seek tax advice before taking up residence.

The content of this article is intended to provide a general guide to the subject matter. Specialist advice should be sought about your specific circumstances.
