The stamp duty rate on incorporations, increases of the nominal amount of the share capital or capital contributions without increasing share capital will be reduced from 2% to 1%.

The first CHF 250,000 of shareholders' contributions on incorporations or on increases of the sharecapital are exempt from stamp duty. The exemption applies now also to increases of share capital. According to recent practice the exemption is not limited anymore to cases where the contribution does not exceed CHF 250,000.
