Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (the organ of the Government of Pakistan) has through advertisements called for proposals to establish and operate information services in Pakistan. The said electronic information services licenses would be given on Nation-wide and City-wide basis.

These services would include non voice telecommunication services including on-line databases accessed through telephone lines. December 31, 1999 is placed as dead-line to apply for such licenses.
