The Government of the Cayman Islands and Brazil have signed a tax information exchange agreement (TIEA).

The agreement is the thirty-first TIEA signed by the Cayman Islands and adheres to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's standards on tax transparency and information exchange with other nations.

Previously, Brazil and Cayman signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and the Brazilian central bank in 2006; and a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Brazil's securities and exchange commission in 2009.
