Australia and New Zealand are now using the 11th Edition of the Nice Classification for Trade Marks – 3 January 2017

The 11th edition of the International Classification of Goods and Services (Nice Classification) came into force in both Australia and New Zealand on 1 January 2017.

IPAU (the Intellectual Property Office of Australia) and IPONZ (the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand) have advised specifications of goods and services for trade mark applications must now be filed in accordance with the new Nice Classification.
