The Swiss Adecco company S.A. and the UK company Delphi group plc. are both active in temporary employment services. Adecco is present in most of Member States whereas Delphi is mainly present in the UK.

Adecco wants to acquire sole control of Delphi which is specialized in professional services to computer users, including staffing, training and consultancy. Adecco is a leading temporary staff services company.

The two main affected markets are France and the UK. But this merger will not substantially change their competitive structure.

Therefore, the European Commission decided that the merger does not create or strengthen a dominant position.

This article is based and incorporates information provided by the European Commission (Press Releases) and is intended for general information. Specialist advice should be sought before acting on it.
