On 10 June 2019 the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia issued Circular No. 04 of 2019 on Mandatory e-court Registration for Civil Claims to further promote the use of e-courts in 56 District Courts across Java and all major cities in Indonesia.

We've tried it and we can tell you that e-courts are very convenient. We filed a lawsuit through e-court from the convenience of our office, paid the registration fees through bank transfer directly to the virtual account set up for the case fees, and everything was done in a couple of hours. No more queuing at the court or waiting for hours to file a lawsuit, and best of all no more bulky hard copies!

The content of this article is intended to provide a general guide to the subject matter. Specialist advice should be sought about your specific circumstances.
