Ankit is a LLB and LLM degree holder from Vidyasagar University with distinction and is practicing in the Indirect Taxation domain for a decade. Ankit is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and a rank holder Company Secretary.
Ankit has considerable experience working with the Big 4 Firms where he specialized in the field of indirect taxation. Ankit has served as a Partner at S .K .Kanodia & Associates, Kolkata where he headed the Indirect Tax practice and also handled the firm's major representational assignments before the Adjudicating Authorities and Appellate Authorities including CESTAT.
Ankit holds a Certificate on Indirect Taxes from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and is a co opted member of Indirect Tax (IDT) Committee of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Direct Taxes Professionals' Association, Views Exchange CA study Circle etc.
Being immensely experienced in the field of indirect taxation, Ankit regularly speaks at conferences and events across India to share his knowledge about GST. He is also a sub-group member of the IDT Committee of Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of ICAI and was, for many years, a special invitee to the Research Committee of the EIRC ICAI. Ankit has been chosen as a member of the Kolkata Study Group of ICAI, New Delhi for Indirect Taxes. He is also a certified Indirect Direct Tax Faculty of the ICAI, New Delhi.
Ankit has authored two books on the Service Tax Ready Referencer and Bare Acts (Lawpoint Publications Kolkata) and published numerous articles in various journals and magazines.
