Through Decree 959/ 2016, the National Immigration Agency established the exemption of the entry fee to Argentina for Vatican City State citizens.

The decree, published in the Official Gazette on March 3, 201, states the visa exemption for foreigners with ordinary passports issued by Vatican City State, whenever  a transitory entry, up to ninety (90) days, and as long as it is not intended for paid work.

The decision was taken by the Argentine government within the framework of  decree N° 1088/90, in which the Argentine Republic gave a visa exemption to foreigners with diplomatic and service passports issued by the Holy See, without including the “ordinary” ones.
